Last year, we all probably had to deal with working from home or, for the younger readers, attending school from home. Working from home has its advantages and disadvantages. Some will find it great, while others will really miss working on location. For now, we can make the best of it together. To be as productive as possible while working from home, we’re going to share some helpful tips with you! It starts with a positive mindset to get through this crazy situation well.
Stick to your regular morning routine
You might not feel like it, but maintaining your morning routine really helps. Keep the routine you had before corona. Mentally, this keeps you the most stable. It helps keep this crazy situation as normal as possible. You might be tempted to stay in your pajamas all day. It’s comfortable and no one sees you, but putting on normal clothes helps you get through the day more effectively. Also try to keep your regular working hours on weekdays. This keeps your rhythm intact and helps you work better and more efficiently. For makeup lovers: putting on makeup in the morning is also a good and effective tip. It makes you feel awake and fresh to start the day.
Create your own workspace
Home is a place of rest and relaxation. Having to work here can quickly disrupt this balance. Creating a workspace can help with this. It distinguishes the place where you work from the place where you relax within the house. A separate room is best for this, but not everyone has that option. Then, for example, choose a spot at the dining table. Avoid your bed or couch, no matter how tempting it is. Your body then thinks it can relax and rest, while you’re still working. Put some items around you that you also had at the office, even if they’re just for decoration. This will make the space feel more like a real workspace.

Take moments for yourself
Regularly make time to take a moment for yourself, a moment to catch your breath. Because you’re working alone in one place, you might tend to work eight hours straight. Normally, you’d chat and take coffee breaks. You will never work 100% efficiently all the time, and that’s true at home too. You can, for example, use an alarm clock to make sure you take breaks now and then. Take a short walk, grab a drink, or read a magazine. Try to avoid your phone during these breaks since you’ve been looking at a screen all day. This can tire your eyes throughout the day.
Make it as cozy as possible
This is my best and favorite work-from-home tip: make your workspace cozy. This is one of the advantages of working from home. You can arrange the space however you want. Instead of a dull office, you have a cozy workspace. For example, buy a nice aroma diffuser; it purifies the air and also looks cheerful and cozy. Additionally, Veever has various items in their assortment to make working from home easier and, above all, more fun. Plenty to create a lovely and cozy space. The more positive you approach your work, the more enjoyable working from home becomes!

Make it a cozy evening
Don’t forget to enjoy the evening once it arrives. Sometimes the workday blends into the evening so subtly that you forget to fully relax. You keep thinking about work because everything happens in one space. Try to consciously create a cozy evening. Cook your favorite meal, drink your favorite drink, and watch your ultimate series or movie. Light some candles, grab a blanket, and make yourself comfortable.
