What is "grafting" a plant?
Plants can be propagated by grafting. This involves attaching a part of one plant (the scion) to a part of another plant (the rootstock).
This technique is often used to "improve" the plant, for example, rose buds on a wild rootstock.
After grafting, the scion is tied with grafting tape. It is also possible to wrap the scion with cling film, but we all know that it is not sustainably biodegradable.
